One of the things that is near to my heart at the holidays is the time spent with family. Now, let me clarify what my definition of family is - blood relatives and spiritual relatives. We had a great time yesterday. We had time for just our little brood and time for both families. I was exhausted at the end of the day, but all in all, everything was smooth and fun. Only once did I get a little testy...really only once! For those that know me well, that is truly amazing. I can get a little stressed out making things perfect.
I am so thankful for the gift of Jesus. Mary was able to kiss the face of God. What a precious gift! My prayer for the new year is that Christmas would be in our hearts everyday, not just on December 25th.
