Pumpkin went for her check-up today. She was spayed last week, so today they checked her sutures. It wasn't good news. Well, I need to back up and tell you that David picked her up from the vet following her surgery. The girl at the desk suggested that he get a collar for her, to keep her from licking the surgical site. I figured she had harmed herself, but I thought it was because she kept going in the attic! She had not gone in there before. Why she decided after her surgery to go gallivanting I have no idea. When I say in the attic, I mean the attic! I woke up one morning and could hear her meowing outside. She was in the eaves! It was weird. I ran to the garage and called her and down she came through a small hole in the garage! Silly kitty!
Jd says she's a barn cat and it's completely normal. I hope he's right. I was hoping to let her go outside, but for now she's stuck in the house with a cone thingy on her head. She is not happy at all. She just keeps looking at me with a pitiful face and I so want to take that thing off and save her.
Poor Kitty...she's got an entire week of this.
I don't know if I can watch her like this. I might be tempted to rescue her after a couple days!

Resa,
This is Becky S, Your jd's friend from high school and Mike and Jen's too. I ran across your blog from Jen's blog. I would have to take that cone off that poor cat. I couldn't handle it. My cat had his surgery at 3-4 months old and was hardly affected. Stay strong because you know it is for her best. Sometimes I think I have more empathy for animals than humans, thats bad. Anyways, Keep on writing your christian inspirations. Your blog and Jen's blog give me religious food for thought.
