Summer Days

Summer days pass so quickly. Things here have been busy, busy, busy. We've been going to the pool several days during the week and the other days we've been catching up on house work.

The kids have played outside everyday. Between the trampoline,bikes, slide, swings, and of course, dirt the kids have managed to keep themselves occupied, which is a wonderful thing! The poor trampoline will have to be replaced when the summer is over. It has really taken a beatin' this year. We did have a new play thing added to our collection - a combination soccer, air hockey, bowling, and pool table! We put it in the garage, so the kids can play out there anytime. It has been the talk of the neighborhood! Dh came home from work the other day surprised to see 2 new neighbor's kids playing out there with the boys. So...I guess word gets around.

I would be terribly ungrateful if I didn't tell you where the table came from. It came from God. No, really, I think it did. I'm one of those weird people that considers any good gift from God, no matter where it actually came from! Some friends of ours were re stationed and didn't need the table anymore, because their boys had grown too tall for it and they just didn't play with it anymore. So, they decided to bless us with it! Now that is a gift from God! They could have given it to a number of people, but they thought of us! God is good - All the time!
