Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's our front door!
Isn't this a great pic of me? ha ha, I hope she really doesn't think I look like this!
She said it was me brushing my teeth!

The boys were upset with L that she colored them wearing pink pants!
I told them not to worry, because she had colored Daddy with pink pants, too!

The kids and I spent some time today talking about the upcoming turkey feast. We had a really great time talking about the first Thanksgiving and what we should be thankful for this year. The kids and I decorated the front door with all their thoughts and answers to what they were thankful for. I added the scripture, because we wouldn't be able to fill up the door with anything if it wasn't for the Lord's continued blessing on our family. I could talk endlessly about how the Lord has provided over and over to meet our needs.

Just this week, I told dh that we had to have a fence put up, because the dog figured out he can run faster than the boys! He ran right out in the street a couple times this past week, so a fence is definitely necessary at this point. He answered me with, "I know." and the look said, "Yeah, but where is that going to come from?"

I don't know if he has been praying, probably so, because yesterday I received a call from a friend that asked me if we needed a fence! My mouth just popped open! She told me that a friend of hers called asking if she knew anyone that could use a perfectly new fence, a wooden fence, less than 1 yr old! She told me that she couldn't remember if we had a fence or not, but wanted to ask anyway! I could hardly control my enthusiasm, and told her we wanted it, no matter what. The only thing we have to do is go take it down.

Wow! God is good, so good to us. We might be putting a fence up this Thanksgiving weekend, but it will be a blessing handed from God to us. What a wonderful way to focus our minds on God's provision...to God be the glory!
My prayer is that you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and remember all the things He has brought you through this past year.

I LOVE THAT!!!! I might have to steal your idea for the "blessings and praise reports on the door." AND, I almost had tears in my eyes reading about your new fence! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! He even cares about your fence. PTL!!!
