Oprah is Not a Prophet!

Thank you to my friend at as-for-me-and-my-house.blogspot.com . She has brought up something that I've been bothered by for weeks now. Oprah's new book. I can honestly say that I do not make it a habit to watch Oprah. I watch when Dr Oz is going to be on, but other than that, NOT. I have many "issues" with Oprah. But, this book...well, it scares me. It is leading many away from Jesus Christ and they have no idea. Sometimes, I totally understand why we (humans) are referred to as sheep!

Matthew 24:24 -"For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones. See, I have warned you."

I have had the TV off for the last few weeks. Really, because I've needed the quiet. Well, less noise, because it can never really be quiet around here. (Even at night, I have several that sleep walk and talk!) However...the TVs been off. It has been nice. I've read, prayed, and knitted. I have really enjoyed the time, too. It occurred to me that the TV tells us how to think, act, behave, etc. Several of my kids have started picking up phrases that are not acceptable and it was from commercials! Today, I did actually turn on the TV for an hour and saw a commercial for a new birth-control procedure. I thought I was going to throw up. Something called Essure. The commercial starts with thoughts bombarding a woman while she is "playing"with her children. You'll have to see it for yourself, but it made me sick. Now, even commercials are trying to tell us how many children we should and shouldn't have! Which, leads me to Oprah. as believers, we need to speak up against the mind controlling. I applaud those that have brought it to my attention. If we, as Jesus Christ followers, would turn our TVs off more and turn our ears toward heaven wouldn't we be able to see through the "junk" being fed to our minds. It was obvious to me today, after turning my TV off for a week.

See this if you'd like to hear what a former New Age believer said about Oprah's book read this.
