When the lights are gone

What do we do when we see the "sparkle" gone from the eyes of people we love? What is "sparkle"? It is what you see when you look in to their eyes that lets you know they have hope- sparkle. I saw Prince Caspian last Sunday evening, we took 18 teenagers to see it! (I'll post on that another day.) In the movie, when the witch returns, there is one Narnian that tries to help her get out of her icy cell. Lucy doesn't understand why he would do such a thing and another Narnian says: "He lost hope."

We cannot lose hope, my friends. I know the battle is hard and sometimes the blows are fierce, but we have HOPE! Prayer is the only thing I know to do for those who have lost their sparkle, lost their hope.

"You are my hiding place,
You always fill my heart with songs
of deliverance whenever I am afraid
I will trust in you.
I will trust in you.
Let the weak say 'I am strong in the strength
of my Lord' "

This is my prayer: Lord, may you be their hiding place today. Fill their hearts with songs of deliverance. When fear creeps in, I pray they will trust you completely. May their mouths speak of your strength working in them. I trust you, Lord to care for those I love, because I know you love them more than I do.

Only through Christ can we stand.

Excellent sweetie! I definitely needed to hear that today of all days. I am thankful I have hope. Hope to see those gone before us and hope to share with those left here behind.
