Oh yeah, She LOOKS Sweet...

How can you deny such sweet eyes and that sweet smile? I have to tell you what this sweetie pie pulled on me tonight.

It was time for bed...past the normal time for bed.

As we walk to her room, she says, "Can you read me a short, short story?"

"I suppose so" I respond.

I read her a book about the Zoo and all is well.

I reach over to give her a hug and a kiss an she says, "One more, please?"

Being the firm Mother I am, I respond, "MB I told you that you could have one story, not any more."

She looks at me, with those sweet eyes and that sweet smile, and asks, "Mommy, what is your favorite thing to eat?"

I am totally lost, and wondering why on earth is she jumping the conversation to food, but answer her question - "Salad, I guess."

"Then, can I please have another story with SALAD on top?"

WHAT? WOW! I was totally set up on that on!
Better be careful next time she changes the conversation.
And, just so you know, I did not read her another story..principles people, principles.
