Dojo Nights

My boys have been in karate for almost two years now, but tonight we moved in to becoming a karate family! The older girls joined karate! I am so excited for them as they begin their journey! It was funny seeing them on the mat with their brothers.

I can't wait to see them sparring with each other....I can just imagine....Lauren and Micah now....ooohhh what a day that will be! Lauren is my spitfire and she will deck him now without a single thought about it, and now we are going to put gloves and gear on her and cut her loose- wow! It will be something to see. Most people think she's so cute, and since she's about the boys height, most underestimate her spunk, but not for long. This sweetheart who told a boy in kindergarten that she was going to beat him up and pull all his bones out! All he did was bump her in the hallway, totally an accident! Her teacher told me that she would never have believed it if she hadn't heard it for herself!

Emily will be great at this and I am looking forward to seeing where this takes her, plus it will teach her some self discipline. I am hoping that we can harness her frustrations and give her the tools she needs to properly vent them.

Littlest, for now, is watching on the side with Mom and Dad, but I don't think it will be long before we hear her say: "I want to join karate too!"
