Christmas Play Pics

The shot is a little dark, but the best I could do. Micah played King Herod (last one on the left) and Caleb played a cowboy wiseman (the boy with the cowboy hat on).

In this shot you can see Em down front, she played a village girl and Lauren is exactly above her head. Lauren was the lead character and sang a solo. She had 37 lines in the play, which was hard for my little ADD girl, but she did it! Em memorized her lines in like 3 stinking days. Her brain amazes me! Talk about this Mom being super proud.

And last, but not least, Mary Beth played Mary the mother of Jesus in the opening act. Doesn't she look ticked in this picture! I have no idea what that was about. The little boy playing Joseph stole the show shortly after I took this picture. As the other children in the play began to sing, he broke out in a dance. I think he even tried a little break dancing on stage. I was so proud of my littlest, because she just stood there and stared at him, not saying a word! I was waiting for her to be the good little wife and tell her husband to knock it off and get back to where he was supposed to be! I laughed so hard I thought I was going to cry.

The play was great. All my children (not the soap opera) did a great job learning their lines and I was almost in tears watching them up there. In fact, during their rehearsal I did start to mist up and made myself leave the room. Everything was a wonderful success and I think the kids had a great time as well.
