Wonderful Wednesday

It's Wednesday and I've got to post something, before Dh asks me when I plan on posting something. So, I've decided to tell you a few things that I find wonderful today:

1- The leaves on the dogwood tree outside my front window are turning a beautiful red color. The sight is truly breath-taking.

2- First time obedience is wonderful, when it happens! We started working on this last week, seriously, I can't keep saying the same things over and over. I had toyed with the idea of wearing a whistle around my neck to get every one's attention! Thought on that for a few more minutes and realized that my ears would still be hurting when the day was over, so there had to be a better way. A friend of mine, who knows that we are working on this, held up a shirt this weekend that said: "SHE who must be obeyed". Too bad it was the wrong size or I might have taken the thing home with me. So, for now, we are working on this daily and the kids are really doing good. I don't want robots. I just want a little order to this ciaos when it's important.

3- Stepping Up by Beth Moore! Oh so wonderful. I've just finished the first week of this incredible Bible study and already I am loving it! It is challenging me and I needed some challenging.

4- Tonight, my wonderful Dh is cooking! Hurray! I love not having to worry about dinner! ( Dh is cooking at the church tonight.) Baked Spagetti, salad and garlic bread- yum!

With all the news stations and talk shows talking about how bad things are, or are going to get if this and if that happens, I'm going to try and post on Wonderful Wednesday every week. I think it's better to focus on the wonderful things in life. Wonderful Wednesday, not Worry Wednesday. "Cast all your cares upon Him."

great post....been missing you :D

In the school my kids go to, every classroom (from kinder on up) has the same 5 rules posted...the first is INSTANT OBEDIENCE. I love it because I can also say that at home and they know! (Doesn't always happen, but still) I tell them that delayed obedience is disobedience...and that if they have trouble obeying me, how can they obey God?

I hear you on the news and stuff. I'm tired of hearing about it....this is not the great depression...but soon, it will be the great tribulation :D
